Getting to Sukhumvit from new Suvarnabhumi International Airport
How to get to Sukhumvit area

Getting to Sukhumvit from new Suvarnabhumi International Airport, you can take AE3 Airport bus, which starts from the Airport up to Bangna-Trad along Sukhumvit down to Phloenchit and Central World Plaza, then passes around Nana and go back to the Airport, or take the bus number 552 to On Nut BTS station. To avoid traffic jams, we suggest that you take a taxi from the Airport via Rama IX road. It is probably the fastest way to Sukhumvit.

Since Sukhumvit is located in the heart of Bangkok, road traffic in the area, of course, is quite congested. However, after the BTS (skytrain) was finished, it completely got rid of the problems of getting in and around the zone. The BTS’s Sukhumvit line runs from Mo Chit to On Nut and it is connected to Silom line at the Siam Square interchange station. There is also a connection between the BTS (skytrain) and MRT (subway) at BTS’s Asok station and MRT’s Sukhumvit station. Another convenient transportation is to go by riverboat through Saen Saeb Canal, which runs parallel Sukhumvit road towards Wat Saket (the Golden Mount) and the Rattanakosin area.
